Senior Synon Developer - AS400 Environment (6-8 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain SYNON applications, focusing on the AS400 environment, ensuring high performance and scalability.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and integrate applications with other enterprise systems.

- Work independently and handle end-to-end development tasks, including coding, testing, and implementation.

- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in AS400 environments and SYNON applications.

- Design and implement RPGLE and SYNON solutions, and ensure optimal performance in production environments.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless application integration and deployment.

- Provide mentorship and support to junior developers, assisting in development and troubleshooting.

- Ensure solutions are developed in alignment with industry best practices and enterprise-level standards.

Required Skills and Experience :

- 6+ years of experience in the enterprise IT space, with a focus on SYNON development and AS400 environments.

- Strong RPGLE programming experience and solid understanding of RPG development.

- Proven expertise in AS400 platform and RPG programming, with a deep understanding of the full application lifecycle (design, development, testing, and deployment).

- Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and deliver solutions with minimal supervision.

- Experience with enterprise data center stacks, with an understanding of hardware, middleware, and application layers.

- Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on debugging and optimizing performance in complex environments.

- Ability to interact with cross-functional teams and customers to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with legacy systems and mainframe technologies, particularly within large-scale enterprise environments.

- Familiarity with database management, integration techniques, and enterprise systems.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with global teams
