Job Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, managing sales teams, and achieving revenue targets within their assigned geographic region. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and leading a team of sales representatives to meet and exceed sales objectives. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in sales management, proven success in driving revenue growth, and a deep understanding of the ecommerce delivery industry



Role & responsibilities


1. Sales Strategy and Planning:

- Develop and implement comprehensive regional sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.

- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities and develop targeted sales approaches.

- Set and manage sales quotas, forecasts, and budgets for the regional sales team.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing and operations, to align sales efforts with broader company goals and initiatives.

2. Sales Team Management and Leadership:

- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing regional sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.

- Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to sales representatives to enhance their skills and performance.

- Conduct regular team meetings, sales training, and performance reviews to ensure alignment with sales objectives and continuous improvement.

- Manage and motivate the sales team through effective goal-setting, performance evaluation, and incentive programs.

3. Client Relationship Management:

- Identify and develop new business opportunities by prospecting and establishing relationships with potential clients within the assigned region.

- Maintain strong relationships with existing key accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.

- Collaborate with account managers and cross-functional teams to provide exceptional customer service and address client needs effectively.

- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure new business and expand existing accounts.

4. Sales Operations and Reporting:

- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, pipeline data, and customer feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.

- Prepare and present comprehensive sales reports, forecasts, and analyses to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards related to sales operations and data privacy.

- Collaborate with other regional sales managers to share best practices, leverage synergies, and align sales strategies across regions.

5. Team Development and Collaboration:

- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that promotes teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.

- Encourage cross-functional collaboration and communication to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and customer commitments.

- Identify and address training needs, providing opportunities for professional growth and skill development within the sales team.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

- Minimum of 15-20 years of proven experience in sales management, preferably within the logistics, transportation, or ecommerce delivery industry.

- Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in a regional or territory-based sales environment.

- Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing sales teams.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to build strong client relationships and influence decision-makers.

- Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software, sales tools, and data analysis techniques.

- Ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to develop effective sales strategies.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic sales environment.

- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region to meet with clients, prospects, and sales teams.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with various sales productivity tools and technologies.
