Role & responsibilities

Curriculum and Teaching:

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans inspired by Finnish pedagogy.
• Integrate play-based and experiential learning activities into daily teaching.
• Foster critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration among children.
• Monitor and assess each childs progress and development.

Classroom Management:

• Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Manage day-to-day classroom activities, ensuring smooth transitions and routines.
• Encourage positive behavior and social interactions among children.

Parental Engagement:

• Communicate regularly with parents about their childs progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
• Conduct parent-teacher meetings and provide insights into the child’s learning journey.
• Collaborate with parents to support the child’s overall development.

Professional Development:

• Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on the latest trends in early childhood education.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching methods.

School Community:

• Contribute to the planning and execution of school events, celebrations, and field trips.
• Work closely with the Head of School and other staff to uphold the school’s vision and values.
• Actively participate in fostering a sense of community within the school.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Prior experience in teaching young children is preferred but not mandatory.
• A deep understanding of child development and play-based learning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
