Job Title: Senior Manager Manager – Procurement
Location: Mumbai, India

chemical manufacturing. We are looking for a highly skilled Procurement Manager to oversee
our procurement operations, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with
international standards.
Job Summary:
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for the entire procurement function, managing
the acquisition cycles for raw materials and packaging, including solvents, fatty alcohols, and
other general industrial chemicals. This role demands a strategic approach to vendor
negotiations, import/export logistics, and maintaining robust supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage procurement of both indigenous and imported chemical raw materials and
packaging materials.
Lead negotiations with vendors and finalize contracts to optimize cost and ensure
quality.
Ensure strict compliance with statutory, ISO standards, and environmental safety
regulations.
Oversee the complete procure-to-payment cycle and assist in vendor audits.
Develop and maintain effective supplier relationships, including sourcing new materials
as per RD requirements and eliminating single sourcing risks.
Implement strategies for cost control, stay updated on market trends, and conduct spend
analysis to foster long-term savings.
Plan and manage logistics for raw materials and packaging aligned with the production
schedule.
Develop and train the procurement team, set performance goals, and align procurement
strategies with organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical, or a Graduate with a Diploma in
Materials Management (DMM) or an MBA.
10-15 years of experience in procurement, ideally within the specialty or fine chemicals
sector in India.
Proficient in SAP ERP, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent negotiation skills and a proven track record in cost reduction.
Certification in Supply Chain Management from APICS or ISM is preferred.
