Assistant General Manager -R&D-Power Electronics

Client: An Indian organisation catering to Indian Railways and other industries.

1. The Incumbent shall be responsible for managing the Research and Development (R&D) function and providing strategic, technical guidance and support to the R&D Team .

2. He shall be assisting management in strategic planning and execution of R&D initiatives.

3. He shall be driving team with focus on the design, development and improvement of power electronics converters, battery chargers, and switch mode power supplies, specifically for railway and industrial applications.

4. He shall be supervising and monitoring the design, testing, and implementation of new products /NPD, as well as enhancing existing products to meet market demands and industry standards.

5. He shall possess mandatory exposure of project management ( Plan, execute, meeting deadline , budget and quality adherence ), interaction with customers and getting the designs approved from customers.

6. He shall posses mandatory experience of power electronics devices like IGBTs, MOSFETs, POWER BJTs, gate drivers , respective designing , switching characteristics validation and testing meant for railway and industrial applications.

7. He shall be Having experience
on selection of DC Link capacitors, filter capacitors ,filter inductors and snubber capacitors
.

8. He shall be Having experience on busbar design, Cooling systems design ,busbar stray inductance calculation.

9. He shall be having experience of Having experience in control algorithms design and embedded converter control SW development will be an added advantage.

10. He shall have demonstrated experience on different power supplies and different DC DC converter topology.

11. He shall manage , lead and interact with cross functional teams for
timely execution of R&D projects.

12. Excellent relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
