Job Description
- Work on the Design, development, and life cycle management for the Bioprocessing Upstream & Downstream systems projects for Cytiva Service R&D.
- Develop innovative design solutions to meet all requirements for function, performance, regulatory needs, reliability, serviceability, pertaining to Bioprocessing Upstream and downstream systems.
- Work on the mechanical projects which will include the complete design cycle from Conceptualization, detail design, FE simulations & Analysis, design calculations, CAD modelling, Engineering drawings creation, Engineering Bills of Materials (EBOM) creation etc.
- Work on the Life cycle management projects mainly on the change management i.e., Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
- Hands on working on the Prototyping, Verification and Validation of these systems.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- BE in Mechanical Engineering. A minimum of 4-6 years industrial experience in design and development and has participated in full product design cycle end to end.
- Proven expertise in Conceptualization, detail design, basic FE simulations, design calculations, fluid mechanics, flow simulation and system level design, material selection, CAD modelling, Prototyping, Verification and Validation of a completely new product introduction.
- In-depth understanding of feature-based parametric modelling / assembly modelling, with hands-on experience using CAD packages (Pro E, Solid works etc). Experience with one or more commercial finite element packages (ANSYS).
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Experience in manufacturing processes like welded sheet metal structure fabrication and Machining.
- Experience on design documentation to comply with ISO and European standards. Exposure to global quality & regulatory standards
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Biotechnology/Life Sciences industry
- GMP & regulatory environments
- QMS and Documentation Practices
