Lead Design Engineer -Aero Engines

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Evaluate non-conformances and Class 1 and Class 2 design changes in aero engine parts, providing engineering recommendations for resolution.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analyses and conduct design hand calculations to validate engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Develop and maintain tracking systems to monitor non-conformances and ensure accurate documentation.
• Communicate with customers to provide updates on non-conformance status, root causes, corrective actions, and timelines for resolution.

Required Skills:

• Strong foundation in mechanical and aerospace engineering principles, including design standards.
• In-depth knowledge of aero engine components, particularly compressors and turbines, and their construction and functionality.
• Proven experience with Class 1 and Class 2 design processes for aero engine components.
• Expertise in leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions in aerospace applications.
• Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Familiarity with manufacturing, assembly, and inspection processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer engagement and cross-functional team coordination.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and proficiency in coordinating technical teams.

Desired Skills:

• Expertise in Aero & Industrial Gas Turbines.
• Advanced knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with CATIA modelling and drafting.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
