Job Description
- Ensure adherence to all customs regulations and procedures.
- Liaise with customs authorities to facilitate timely clearance of goods.
- Monitor changes in customs laws and regulations, and adjust practices accordingly.
- DGFT Coordination:
- Manage all dealings with the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation for export and import licensing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of DGFT policies and procedures.
- Licensing Expertise:
- Oversee the application and procurement of Advance, EPCG, and SCOMET licenses.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to gather required documentation and ensure timely submissions.
- Track and manage license renewals and compliance with license conditions.
- Logistics Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement logistics strategies that optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement.
- Vendor Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics partners.
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the logistics team, providing training on customs and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages continuous improvement.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and present reports on logistics performance metrics, customs compliance, and licensing status.
