As a Splunk Security Consultant, you'll design, configure, and implement Splunk deployments, offering ongoing support. You'll manage projects, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize system performance. Responsibilities also include dashboard development, collaboration with teams, documentation, and providing guidance and training. You will lead the customer into sizing and deploying the environment and the onboarding with definition of Security Use Cases relevant to the Customer environment and risks.
Responsibilities :
- Design, configure, and implement Splunk and Splunk Security deployments, offering continuous support for Splunk environments.
- Lead and manage Splunk implementation projects, overseeing requirements gathering, solution design, and deployment planning.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to Splunk deployment, focusing on performance tuning, data optimization, and system stability.
- Manage Splunk infrastructure, including server configuration, index management, user authentication, and data input monitoring.
- Develop and maintain custom dashboards and reports to visualize data insights and provide meaningful analytics to stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and ensure successful delivery of Splunk solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, such as architecture diagrams, installation guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide guidance and training to junior team members and end-users on Splunk best practices, use cases, and troubleshooting techniques.
Requirement :
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Splunk SME, with hands-on experience in at least 3 successful implementations. At least 5 years of Security experience is required.
- Bachelor's degree (B.E/B.Tech) or relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Splunk Certified Consultant or Administrator certification.
- Strong knowledge of Splunk architecture, security, configurations, and Splunk apps development. Experience with other log management tools and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.)
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex data requirements and provide effective solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
