Business Analyst

Position Description:

A Business Analyst will work with senior business analysts, product management, and the development teams to make sure the products in development meet the needs of end users. Responsibilities are centered around creating and enhancing internally developed products, supporting the client-facing business analyst team, and researching areas of compliance while developing subject matter expertise.

Specific Job Duties:

• Gathers interprets, and translates customer needs into functional and non-functional requirements
• Facilitates a critical communications role by interacting with subject matter experts, project team members, and development personnel
• Understands system behavior, inputs, and outputs as they relate to business functions
• Confirms that new releases function as intended and have no negative impact on existing functionality
• Becomes the subject matter expert on compliance solutions and tools
• Maintains legal and regulatory compliance by researching and communicating requirements
• Research regulations by reviewing regulatory bulletins and other sources of information
• Ensures the timely and successful delivery of the company's solutions according to customer needs and objectives
• Assists with high-severity requests or issue escalations as needed

Required Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to summarize and communicate complex ideas to various project stakeholders
• Ability to listen and elicit detailed requirements
• Analytical skills for transforming defined business needs into software requirements
• Basic understanding of software design and development
• Intermediate knowledge of excel
