Job Description
Currie Brown is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior QS Engineer - MEP to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in quantity surveying for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, with experience in high-rise residential projects of G+18 floors or above.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage quantity surveying tasks for MEP works, ensuring proper cost control, budgeting, and schedule adherence.
- Prepare and manage rate analysis, BOQs, and final bill checking for MEP systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
- Review and study project drawings for MEP systems to ensure accurate quantity take-offs and material estimation.
- Collaborate with MEP contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve issues related to MEP works and costs.
- Perform value engineering analysis and propose cost-effective solutions for MEP systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant MEP codes, standards, and regulations.
- Assist in managing contractor payments and finalizing RA/Final Bills for MEP works.
- Provide technical support during the design and construction phases, ensuring MEP systems are cost-effective, efficient, and aligned with the project budget.
Qualifications Experience Required:
- Educational Qualification:
- BE / B-Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or a Diploma in relevant MEP disciplines.
- Experience:
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying for MEP systems, preferably in high-rise residential real estate projects.
- At least 3-4 completed high-rise residential projects (G+18 or above) involving MEP systems.
- Technical Skills Knowledge:
- Proficiency in MS Office , PowerPoint , and AutoCAD (for quantity take-offs and material estimation).
- Strong expertise in MEP quantity surveying , rate analysis , and bill of quantities (BOQ) for MEP systems.
- In-depth knowledge of IS Codes relevant to MEP works and industry standards.
- Experience in value engineering and understanding of MEP-related cost optimization techniques.
- Other Skills:
- Fluent in English and Hindi (both written and spoken).
- Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
