Job description:
- The Head of FP&A is responsible for leading the financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis processes across the organization.
- This role acts as a strategic partner to senior management, driving the financial performance of the company by providing insights, analysis, and recommendations.
- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting processes, combined with strong leadership capabilities to oversee a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Financial Leadership
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior management by providing financial insights and recommendations.
- Oversee the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Identify key financial drivers and assess the financial impact of business decisions.
2. Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes, ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful financial analysis.
- Drive continuous improvements in forecasting accuracy and financial reporting.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for significant differences between actuals and forecasts.
3. Collaboration and Business Partnering
- Work closely with department heads to develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide financial guidance to operational teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Develop financial models and scenario planning to support decision-making across the business.
4. Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of financial analysts, ensuring consistent performance and development.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and accountability.
5. Risk and Opportunity Management
- Monitor financial risks and opportunities, recommending mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) is a must
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in leading financial planning processes in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Strong understanding of financial systems and advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
