Role & responsibilities

1. Quality Control Management:
• Oversee the complete quality control function of the plant, ensuring all raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products meet quality standards.
• Develop and implement QC procedures, protocols, and testing methodologies in line with industry best practices.
• Lead and manage the inspection, testing, and approval of incoming raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Ensure compliance with all quality standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements (ISO 9001, GMP, etc.).
• Conduct regular audits of the QC laboratory and production processes to ensure adherence to quality procedures.
2. Team Leadership and Development:
• Supervise and train a team of QC analysts, technicians, and lab assistants to ensure high performance and effective execution of QC activities.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide guidance to enhance team capabilities.
• Lead investigations and root cause analysis for quality-related issues and non-conformities, ensuring corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented.
3. Product Testing and Reporting:
• Supervise and coordinate all routine and special testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of quality reports, documentation, and certificates of analysis (CoA).
• Maintain records of quality checks, test results, and compliance documentation for traceability and audits.
4. Continuous Improvement:
• Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in QC processes, focusing on reducing defects, enhancing product quality, and improving operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and maintenance teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues at all stages of production.
• Review and update quality control standards, procedures, and guidelines based on feedback, audits, and regulatory changes.
5. Regulatory Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international standards and regulations (e.g., REACH, ISO, FDA, etc.).
• Implement best practices for safety and environmental management in all QC activities.
• Monitor and ensure that all QC operations are in line with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
6. Supplier & Customer Interaction:
• Collaborate with the procurement and supply chain teams to manage and assess supplier quality performance.
• Interface with customers for quality-related issues, complaints, and feedback, ensuring effective resolution.
7. Laboratory and Equipment Management:
• Oversee the calibration and maintenance of QC laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Ensure the laboratory operates with the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
8. Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare and present detailed quality performance reports to senior management, highlighting key quality metrics and areas for improvement.
• Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all QC activities to support regulatory and customer audits.
