Engineering Head- C/C++

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Head-C/C++ with extensive experience in networking, embedded systems, and protocol development. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in C/C++ programming, hands-on expertise with Layer 2/3 protocols, and a proven track record of working on high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize networking software using C/C++.
• Design and implement Layer 2/3 protocols such as VLAN, STP, QOS, LAG, and MPLS.
• Work on Linux system programming, including IPC mechanisms, SysCalls, multithreading, and driver interfacing.
• Collaborate on advanced projects involving IP Networking (IPv4/6, TCP, UDP, BGP, RSVP).
• Lead the development and implementation of QoS features like classification, policing, shaping, and congestion management.
• Engage in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex software issues.
• Handle customer engagements and provide technical guidance for link aggregation, routing, and switching solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and efficient architectures for next-generation products.

Skills and Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and Linux internals.
• Experience with Layer 2/3 protocols (VLAN, QOS, STP, RSVP, BGP).
• Hands-on experience with network equipment like Cisco ME3400, ASR903/9k, and Ciena 6500.
• Solid knowledge of data structure algorithms (DSA) and OOPS concepts.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with DevOps tools and methodologies.
• Experience with Snap-based development and SDKs like BCM SDK.
• Background in metering and optical networking domains.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP-BCMSN, CCNP-BSCI are a plus.
