The role will be responsible for managing and executing the analysis workstream within the Regulatory Reporting program.
The deliverables from this program include defining a new model for Regulatory Reporting supplemented with a new reporting capability while also remediating data sourcing challenges and data quality issues within the Risk Data and Analytics Reporting program.
The role also needs to ensure that various Group standards around controls and governance are implemented.
1. Manage and execute analysis within the Regulatory Reporting program (Credit Risk, Market Risk, Treasury Risk ) , ensuring compliance with banks standards on controls and governance.
2. Demonstrate advanced knowledge in change management, business re-engineering, and business analysis with an understanding of the external environment including regulatory and political factors.
3. Work with stakeholders across various functions like Finance and Risk to define a new model for Regulatory Reporting, mapping out and documenting business processes, and identifying and implementing necessary controls.
4. Employ data analysis and querying skills to establish data lineage, identify trusted data sources, and implement data controls within business processes.
5. Lead teams, including offshore IT, to deliver seamless solutions, and address data quality issues through in-depth analysis and understanding of COREP/external reporting programs.
6. Lead the Reporting Quality Assurance (QA) program to test all Risk owned BCBS 239 reports, including the development and execution of the annual plan, performance of monthly refreshes, and tracking of action plans developed to address gaps identified from the QA testings.
7. Have a grasp of different Risk and exposure metrics, their calculation methodology, and regulations pertaining to Credit Risk, Market Risk and Treasury Risk.
8. Exhibit proven consulting skills, with an ability to analyse a mix of business, operations, and technology aspects in financial services.
9 Demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities to lead large teams and manage change across banking environments.
10. Motivate and lead people using appropriate management styles and maintain a global perspective while working across regions.
11. Proven track record working with senior stakeholders and business sponsors and knowledge in RWA / Capital calculation and reporting.
Qualifications:
8-12 years of relevant experience in financial institutions.
Previous experience in at least one of the following areas: risk management and/or regulatory reporting, risk and controls, audit, compliance assurance.
Excellent leadership and managerial skills, including the ability to lead and work with multiple stakeholders to perform comprehensive reviews.
Strong control & audit instincts, ability to apply independent judgment to business practices, with a proven ability and willingness to challenge the status quo
Ability to manage multiple priorities, and prior experience with delivering on firmwide projects a plus.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work across teams, including reporting teams, business stakeholders, second line independent reviews, and internal audit.

Education:
Undergraduate or master s degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, sciences, or other related technical disciplines
