Position Title: Automation Programmer

Key Responsibilities

PLC Programming and Troubleshooting

Develop, program, and troubleshoot Mitsubishi PLC systems, including FX, Q, and iQ-R series.

Optimize and maintain ladder logic, structured text, and other PLC programming languages.

Test and debug PLC programs to ensure efficient system functionality.

HMI Configuration and Design

Create and configure operator interfaces using Mitsubishi HMI (GOT series).

Develop intuitive and user-friendly graphical interfaces tailored to operational requirements.

Integrate HMI systems with PLCs for seamless communication and control.

TIA Portal (Version 16-18)

Work extensively with Siemens TIA Portal for PLC and HMI programming.

Develop applications for Siemens S7 series PLCs and configure associated HMI systems.

Conduct simulations and virtual commissioning using TIA Portal tools.

SCADA System Development

Design and develop SCADA systems for industrial automation projects.

Implement communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and Profinet to integrate SCADA with PLCs.

Monitor and analyze data from SCADA systems for performance improvements.

System Integration

Ensure seamless integration between PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and field devices.

Conduct on-site commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of automation systems.

Documentation and Training

Prepare detailed project documentation, including wiring diagrams, logic flowcharts, and user manuals.

Train plant personnel or end-users on system operations and maintenance.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering fields.

Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, specifically with Mitsubishi and Siemens systems.

Technical Skills:

Strong expertise in Mitsubishi PLCs and HMI (GOT series).

Proficiency in TIA Portal (V16-V18) and Siemens PLCs/HMIs.

Experience with SCADA systems like WinCC, Ignition, or similar.

Knowledge of communication protocols (Modbus, Profinet, etc.).

Ability to read and interpret electrical and P&ID drawings.
