Job Description :
As the Product Head of HRMS Product Engineering & Architecture Team, you will have the unique opportunity to lead both the product strategy and the technical architecture of our in-house HRMS solution.
You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, product managers, engineering teams, and HR stakeholders to build a robust, scalable, and innovative HRMS platform. In addition to overseeing the technical development, you will also play a key role in defining the product roadmap, ensuring that our HRMS product evolves in alignment with both business and user needs.
Key Responsibilities :
Product Strategy & Vision :
- Collaborate with senior management to define the long-term product vision for the HRMS platform, ensuring it aligns with the organization's strategic goals and meets the needs of HR teams and end users.
HRMS Architecture :
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of the HRMS platform, focusing on scalability, performance, and security while ensuring the platform is adaptable to future HR technology trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Work closely with product managers, business leaders, and engineering teams to define the product roadmap and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Product Roadmap & Delivery :
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and feature definition to implementation and ongoing iteration, ensuring the delivery of high-quality HRMS features on time.
Customer-Centric Development :
- Focus on user feedback, ensuring that HRMS features address the real-world challenges faced by HR teams. Champion product features that improve the user experience and deliver business value.
Team Leadership :
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers and product managers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment while ensuring alignment with the overall product strategy and technical goals.
Tech Stack and Platform Evolution :
- Oversee the architecture of the HRMS product, ensuring it stays relevant with emerging technologies, industry best practices, and is adaptable to growth and new requirements.
Integration & Ecosystem :
- Ensure seamless integration with other internal systems and third-party HR solutions, enabling a unified experience for users across the platform.
Innovation & Trends :
- Keep up with the latest trends in HR technology and ensure the HRMS platform is continuously evolving with cutting-edge features like AI, automation, and predictive analytics.
Stakeholder Management :
- Regularly engage with internal and external stakeholders (HR, IT, business units) to gather feedback, align on priorities, and ensure that product development is aligned with business needs.
Security & Compliance :
- Ensure the platform complies with HR data privacy regulations and follows best practices for security and compliance.
Required Qualifications :
Education :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience :
- 10+ years of experience in developing and managing in-house HRMS software or enterprise applications, with at least 5-8 years in a leadership role overseeing both technical architecture and product strategy.
- Proven track record of building and scaling HRMS platforms from the ground up (e.g., experience with Keka, Zoho People, BambooHR, etc.).
- Experience working closely with product management teams to define product roadmaps, features, and user-centric solutions.
Technical Skills :
- Expertise in full-stack development (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.) and cloud-based application architecture (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Deep knowledge of database systems (SQL/NoSQL) and integration strategies (APIs, microservices).
- Experience in system architecture, performance optimization, and high-availability solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
HRMS Domain Knowledge :
- Experience with core HRMS functionalities such as payroll, benefits, employee management, talent management, and performance tracking.
Leadership & Product Management :
- Strong ability to manage and mentor cross-functional teams, oversee product delivery, and ensure alignment between technical and business goals.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills :
- Ability to solve complex technical and product challenges with a focus on practical, scalable solutions.
Preferred Qualifications :
Certifications :
- Product management certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner), technical architecture certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
AI & HR Tech Innovation :
- Knowledge of AI, machine learning, and emerging HR technology trends.
Security & Compliance Knowledge :
- Experience in ensuring compliance with data privacy laws such as GDPR, and familiarity with security frameworks
