Credit Manager

Job Title: Credit Manager - Retail Business / Affordable Housing

Role & Responsibilities:

• Undertake credit underwriting for a single branch or a particular area, reporting to the Cluster or State Credit Manager.
• Understand various business profiles of self-employed nonprofessionals through ground visits and provided evidence.
• Conduct complete assessments by visiting all customer contact points and performing necessary cross-checks.
• Recommend and underwrite proposals adhering to the company's defined policies.
• Be a go-getter and make clear decisions in the interest of organizational benefit.
• Train sales and credit teams on products and policies.
• Visit vendors, existing customers, early delinquency customers, and delinquent customers for better portfolio management.
• Analyze portfolio behaviors from various perspectives and develop plans to avoid, reduce, or transfer risk.
• Understand inherent credit, collateral, operational, and fraud risks.
• Possess good knowledge of legal, technical, and property documents to identify associated risks.
• Be self-motivated and work with good coordination within departments or the organization.
• Provide valuable and useful market feedback to tweak policies.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Education & Qualification: Graduate/PGDBM/MBA-Finance
• Experience:
• Experience in credit underwriting secured loans (HL, LAP) with companies such as Vistaar, SMFG, Motilal Oswal, Mahindra and Mahindra, Veritas, AU Small Finance, etc. or anyother NBFC/BFSI will work.
• Experience in assessing business and conducting personal discussions.
• Having sanction authority (good to have but not mandatory).
