Role Description :
This is a contract Data Engineer role based in Bengaluru, offering a hybrid work model with some flexibility for remote work. The Data Engineer will be responsible for data engineering tasks, including data modeling, ETL processes, data warehousing, and data analytics.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ETL processes.
- Create and optimize data models to support business intelligence and analytics.
- Develop and manage data warehousing solutions to store and process large datasets effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and implement data-driven solutions.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data infrastructure performance and reliability.
- Work with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) to build and deploy data engineering solutions.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems and platforms.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data engineering and analytics.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- 4-7 years of experience in data engineering and data modeling.
- Expertise in designing and implementing ETL processes.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data analytics tools.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with big data technologies like Apache Spark, Hadoop, or similar frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in data engineering.
- Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer Associate).
