Creant Technologies - Senior Python Engineer - Django/Flask (8-10 yrs)

Position Overview.

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Python Engineer with a proven track record in technical leadership to drive the development of robust, scalable APIs and orchestrate end-to-end software delivery.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping architecture, guiding distributed teams, and ensuring alignment between technical execution and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

- API & Backend Development: Architect, design, and deploy high-performance APIs and microservices using Python, leveraging frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

- Ensure solutions adhere to RESTful principles, scalability, and security best practices.

- Technical Leadership: Act as a hands-on tech lead in a remote setting, mentoring junior engineers, conducting virtual code reviews, and driving architectural decisions.

- Foster collaboration across globally distributed engineering, product, and DevOps teams.

- CI/CD & Automation: Own the end-to-end delivery pipeline, integrating tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

- Champion automated testing frameworks (PyTest, Selenium, etc.) to ensure code quality and accelerate deployment cycles.

- System Design: Lead the design of distributed systems, focusing on fault tolerance, scalability, and performance optimization.

- Evaluate trade-offs between monolithic and cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure).

- Project Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical roadmaps.

- Manage timelines, mitigate risks, and deliver projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies in a remote workflow.

Required Qualifications :

- 8+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years in a technical leadership role (e.g., Tech Lead, Architect) in remote or hybrid environments.

- Expertise in Python-based API development, with deep familiarity in OOP principles, design patterns, and clean code practices.

- Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing.

- Strong background in system design, including database architecture (SQL/NoSQL), caching strategies, and API gateways.

- Demonstrated ability to lead remote projects from concept to production, managing priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder expectations across time zones.

Preferred Skills :

- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.

- Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) or real-time data processing.

- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and monitoring tools (Prometheus, New Relic).

- Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS Certified Developer, Azure Solutions Architect) or Agile (CSM, SAFe).
