Senior Android Developer

Position Overview:

We are looking for a talented Android Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in core Java concepts and Android core components such as Activity, Broadcast Receiver, Service, and Content Provider. Knowledge of Kotlin is highly desirable. The candidate must excel in implementing UI/UX designs using the latest components like Recycler View and Constraint Layout. Proficiency in Retrofit/Volley for network operations, JSON parsing, and integration with image loading libraries such as Picasso/Glide is crucial.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficient in Core Java concepts and Android Core Components including Activity, Broadcast Receiver, Service, and Content Provider. Familiarity with Kotlin is advantageous.
  
• Up-to-date with UI/UX components, Recycler View, and latest layouts (Constraint Layout).
  
• Extensive experience with Retrofit, Volley, JSON parsing, and integration of Picasso/Glide for image handling.
  
• Strong expertise in managing background tasks and implementing best practices.
  
• Familiarity with various storage methods and Jetpack components.
  
• Proficient in permission manager, Services, and Broadcast Receivers.
  
• Competent in working with Fragments and Activities, with optional skills in Video/Audio playback.
  
• Solid understanding of version control tools such as Git or SVN.
  
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
  
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
  
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
  
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
  
• Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as touch”
  
• Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
  
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
  
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
  
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
  
• Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
  
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  
• Familiarity with continuous integration
  
• Experience with Video / Audio Playback
  
• Experience with DRM Implementation.
