Purpose And Responsibilities :

- The Senior Software Engineer researches, designs, and develops software features for hosted systems and is primarily centered around mid-tier business logic and back-end data management in a .NET and MS SQL Server stack.

- He/she/they will work with an established team of .NET and front-end developers to enhance our existing platform, create new platforms, and help drive continued development.

- The Engineer will see opportunities to work with cross-functional and cross-geographic team members.

- This role reports to the AVP of Software Engineering and has no direct reports.

Critical Job Duties :

- Develop creative, functional, maintainable, applications, services and components

- Write high quality, re-usable code following industry best practices

- Provide development estimates for enhancement requests

- Perform design/code reviews and help maintain code quality, performance, and application responsiveness

- Possess the ability to move between backend and frontend components as needed by the business

- Test programs to ensure quality and expected results before delivery to Quality Engineering

- Investigate and resolve bugs and/or deficiencies in project codebases

- Work on projects of moderate to advanced complexity

- Keep skills up-to-date with current and future software technologies through continued education and self-learning to ensure maximum functionality and efficiency

- Assist in creation and maintenance of DevOps tooling and code deployments.

- Collaborate both in the team and cross-functionally, and contribute in group decision-making

- Assists & mentor associate and mid-tier engineers

Job Qualifications :

- The ideal candidate for this position has strong C# and .Net skills and experience, as well as experience in frontend development using JavaScript/TypeScript.

- He/she/they are passionate about crafting solid code working alongside their team members to predictably deliver value.

- Said candidate will be curious, adventurous, and someone who constantly looks to advance the current state of our products and the technologies we use.

Qualifications :

- Experience and demonstrated proficiency in .Net, C#, LINQ, Entity Framework, and Microsoft SQL server

- Experience and demonstrated proficiency with Angular, Ionic, NGRX, and hybrid UI development

- Demonstrated understanding of Algorithms, Data Structures, Object Oriented Design, Databases (SQL / NoSQL)

- Experience with RESTful Web Service Design

- Experience in developing applications for both iOS & Android

- Experience working as a member of an Agile team

- Experience working with 3rd party partners to design and deliver cross-platform integrations

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a software related discipline or equivalent experience is preferred

- The ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving skills

- Cross-department collaboration skills

- Experience with MS Azure and AZDO preferred
