Position Overview:

CORE EHS Scaffold Contract Management Division is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scaffold Design Engineer to join our corporate office in Surat. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and planning scaffolding systems for various construction and maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of scaffolding principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Planning: Develop detailed scaffolding designs and layouts using industry-standard software, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Technical Analysis: Perform structural analysis to ensure the stability and safety of scaffolding systems under various load conditions.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide effective scaffolding solutions.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, calculations, and safety plans.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all designs adhere to local and international scaffolding standards, as well as company safety policies.
• Site Inspections: Conduct site visits to assess scaffolding requirements, provide technical support, and ensure proper implementation of designs.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in scaffolding technology and design practices to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of designs.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with scaffold design-specific software such as Smart Scaffolder, Layher CAD, PERI CAD, and Avontus Designer.
• Competence in structural analysis software like STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, and RISA-3D.
• Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools like Microsoft Project, BIM 360, and Navisworks.

Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of scaffolding standards and regulations (e.g., OSHA, BS EN, AS/NZS).

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey design concepts and collaborate with project teams.

Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address design challenges and provide innovative solutions.

Attention to Detail:

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in design work and documentation.
