Conviva - Senior Engineer - Kafka (5-10 yrs)

What You Get To Do :

- 5+ years of experience in end-to-end design & development lifecycle in a complex distributed environment.

- Will be part of the team Building Kafka Distributed Streaming Systems.

- Hands on experience in Kafka, Mirrormaker Infrastructure, Large Scale Distributing & Scaling Kafka Clusters across the Regions and across the multi cloud environments.

- Well versed with Event Driven, Asynchronous programming & communication systems.

- Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience

- Knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as: hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience or performance assessments

- Adept in specific infrastructure technology and programming languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)

- Drives to deepen technical knowledge across multiple domains

- Deep knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies (ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds)

- Experience in designing and building secure Kafka/streaming/messaging platform at enterprise scale and integration with other data system in hybrid multi-cloud environment

- Experience with development and continuous deployment in an agile work environment using CI-CD tools like Jenkins.

- Exposure to managing product billing and building optimized cost models

What You Bring To The Role :

- Should be proficient in Java and Python as a programming language.

- Good to have Scala programming language skills and at least one of the streaming technologies preferably Akka.

- Good to have Kafka Managed Services or have provided Kafka as a Service in the past.

- Proven problem-solving ability and the ability to work individually as well as within a team environment.

- Excellent problem analysis skills.

- Use considerable technical expertise and judgement to develop options and recommend solutions.

- Clear verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration to deliver business value.

- Pays attention to the detail and demonstrates problem solving capability to develop and deliver quality solutions.

- Understanding of current state landscape and relevant technologies.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or engineering (or equivalent professional experience).
