CONTUS TECH - Senior Database Expert - PostgreSQL (7-10 yrs)

Job Description :

- Strong development knowledge in DB Design & development with 6+ Years' to 10 Years experience (Postgres DB) - Mandatory

- Strong hands on writing complex PGSQL, procedure and Functions & prevent blocking and Deadlocks

- Conduct SQL objects code review & Performance tuning( Mandatory )

- Having hands on Microsoft SQL and MYSQL DB is an advantage.

- Strong knowledge in RDBMS and NoSQL Concept with strong logical thinking and solutions (Highly required)

- Expert in transaction databases (OLTP) and ACID property with handling large scale application databases(Mandatory)

- Consult application developer to provide suggestion / SQL's / PGSQL's on DB with best solutions

- Good Communications and written skills

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient PostgreSQL databases.

- Develop database schemas, tables, views, and relationships based on application requirements.

- Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support various applications.

- Identify and resolve issues related to blocking and deadlocks in database operations.

- Conduct thorough code reviews of SQL objects to ensure best practices and performance optimization.

- Analyze and tune database performance, utilizing tools and techniques for monitoring and optimizing queries and indices.

- Provide insights into integration and data migration between different database systems.

- Design and implement strategies to handle large-scale application databases effectively.

- Consult with application developers to provide expert guidance on SQL and PGSQL best practices.

- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for database structures, procedures, and configurations.

- Exhibit strong communication skills, effectively conveying technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
