Role: Manager - Compliance Operations
Location: Bangalore
Job Summary/Objective
We are seeking a Manager- Compliance Operations with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in operations and compliance within the financial services sector. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic oversight, and expertise in managing compliance operations at scale.
As a Manager, Compliance Operations, you will lead a large team. You will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, and driving regulatory compliance initiatives to mitigate risks in the financial services industry.
This role will report directly to a senior people manager (Director or VP) in the US and also report to the site head at India (India CEO) to ensure strategic alignment and operational efficiency across global teams.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Oversee, mentor, and develop a large team, ensuring strong people management practices.
- Drive performance, motivation, and career development for direct reports and their teams.
- Establish a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic direction and operational oversight, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
Compliance Operations & Process Optimization
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operations.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting compliance insights and operational performance.
Risk Management & Regulatory Compliance
- Guide the team in reviewing global companies and websites for regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrate subject matter expertise in financial regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Ensure adherence to complex regulatory requirements and proactively identify potential risks.
- Handle client escalations and provide quick, appropriate responses and solutions.
Training, Quality Assurance & Stakeholder Management
o Develop and maintain process documentation, training materials, and best practices.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and provide expert feedback to the team.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align operational strategies with business objectives.
- Act as the key point of contact for compliance-related inquiries from clients and internal teams.
- Regularly interact with the US leadership team to ensure alignment of operational goals, provide updates on compliance initiatives, and implement global best practices

- Process Optimization & Operational Efficiency - Ability to streamline operations and implement best practices for efficiency.
- Excellent Communication & Stakeholder Management - Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in engaging with senior executives and clients.
- Decision-Making & Problem-Solving - Ability to make sound decisions based on thorough research and analysis.
- Adaptability & Multitasking - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory landscape.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's or a Bachelor's degree from a reputed institute in a Tier 1 city with equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related fields.
10+ years of experience in operations and compliance within the financial services sector.
Proven experience in leading large-scale operations teams (50+ members) with multiple reporting layers.
Prior experience in resource planning, capacity management, and performance tracking.
Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance frameworks, and risk assessment methodologies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite (e.g., PPT, Sheets, Docs).
