ALM Polarion Developer - Configuration Management (4-10 yrs)

Role Overview :

As a Polarion ALM Developer, you will be responsible for the configuration, customization, development, and maintenance of the Polarion ALM platform. You will leverage your expertise in Java/J2EE, front-end development, and Polarion's architecture to implement and optimize ALM processes. This role requires a strong understanding of requirements management, workflow configuration, and integration with other development tools.

Responsibilities :

- Set up and configure Polarion workflows, templates, permissions, and dashboards to meet organizational needs.

- Customize Polarion Requirements application to enhance functionality and user experience.

- Develop custom solutions and plugins using scripting languages (JavaScript/Velocity).

- Integrate Polarion with other development tools such as Jira, Git, and Jenkins.

- Application development experience with Java/ J2EE Stack.

- Front End development experience using HTML 5/CSS, Velocity Widget, Client-Server Widgets.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Polarion ALM.

- Manage Polarion updates and ensure system security.

- Good understanding of Polarion overall Architecture

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their ALM needs.

- Document best practices and provide training to users.

- Improve ALM processes and automate tasks to enhance efficiency.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO, CMMI, and ASPICE.

Required Capabilities :

- 4+ years of experience in Polarion ALM development and administration.

- Strong understanding of Polarion's architecture and functionality.

- Hands-on experience in configuring and customizing Polarion Requirements application.

- Proficiency in Java/J2EE development.

- Experience in front-end development using HTML5/CSS, Velocity widgets, and client-server widgets.

- Experience in scripting languages (JavaScript/Velocity).

- Knowledge of integrating Polarion with tools like Jira, Git, and Jenkins.

- Understanding of ALM processes and best practices.

- Ability to set up workflows, templates, permissions, and dashboards.

- Ability to develop Plugins.

- Ability to troubleshoot issues, manage updates, and ensure system security.

- Ability to document best practices, and train users.

- Knowledge of compliance (ISO, CMMI, ASPICE).

- Experience in the automotive or aerospace industry.

- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.

- Experience with other ALM tools.

Qualifications :

- BE, B.Tech, ME, M.Tech, or MBA in a relevant field.
