Job Summary:

- Vast experience of managing audits and certifications including ISO, OSHA, EcoVadis, etc.
- Meticulous in ensuring adherence to quality control practices and giving an output that is 'first time right' without any rework or reprocessing.
- An expert in process optimisation and development as per the emerging product / service requirements.
- Experience in developing SOPs for existing and newly developed processes.
- Deep technical bent of mind to constantly evolve and refine processes on the basis of one's technical experience, expertise and study of latest technical literature.
- Vast experience of budgeting both long term and short term, related to manpower, material, consumables as well as other applicable resources.
- Deep experience of working with various stakeholders including customers, Management, Finance, Supply Chain, IT, etc.
- Deep knowledge of ERP Systems and business processes for efficient working.
- Extremely agile and mindful of maintaining highest safety standards and safe working culture in the plant and all peripheral areas.
- Deep understanding of business, various developments in the sector, market dynamics and connecting manufacturing to business requirements.
- Ability to conceptualise design and develop projects under consultation with the project team and executing the same within stipulated timelines.
- Vast experience of cost control, optimisation, and rationalisation of various costs in view of market fluctuations and business realties.
- Conversant with the available technology in the world in the related field and understanding how to bring it to the organisation.
- Hands on experience of plant upkeep, equipment and machinery through preventive & predictive maintenance as well as world class standards of shopfloor excellence.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Directs the company's manufacturing and production activities including overseeing production plans and creating processes toward the accomplishment of corporate objectives.
- Attains successful production objectives, implementation of policies, and utilization of available resources while ensuring all customer, regulatory and legal requirements are followed.
- Directs the preparation of specifications for purchase as to quality, quantity, delivery, and service required for purchase of plant equipment, supplies, and materials to meet production schedules.
- Coordinates with the Quality team to ensure that all products adhere to quality standards and processes.
- Liaises with superiors to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals.
- Regularly evaluates the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and applies improvements.
- Evaluates departmental performance and effectiveness by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
- Provides leadership for effective employee relations through positive and proactive communication, coaching, training, problem resolution, and follow up.
- Ensures that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations.
- Evaluates the challenges faced by the business and takes action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities.
- Contributes to overall business strategy and annual budget process as well as initiates and develops creative and innovative manufacturing processes.
- Leads, develops and implements variable cost productivity programmes across all areas of responsibility.
- Implements a customer focused operational culture delivering world class customer service levels.
- Optimises cost performance of the plant through capital investment programmes, optimising operating working capital usage and minimising waste through a continuous improvement culture.
- Develops and manages master production schedule and operations budgets for products to directly support and ensure that the product is delivered to agreed cost, quality and timelines.
- Plans and executes maintenance activity to ensure plant is kept safe and compliant.
- Drives improvements in performance for key aspects of machinery by completing reliability studies and identifying best planned maintenance strategy.
- Provides design for manufacturing input at early stages in the new product development process, coordinating with and supporting the new product development team.
- Supports project management to cross functional activity required for project execution.
- Ensures that Environmental, Health and Safety, manufacturing and quality standards and procedures are strictly adhered.
- Works with teams to translate site strategy into specific annual performance goals and departmental objectives including KPIs, and to track them.
- Responsible for developing the appropriate organisational structure, resource plans and culture to support the business objectives and customer deliverables.
- Provides leadership, coordination and coaching to the team, ensuring they are trained to achieve the operational and financial metrics within their areas of responsibility and succeed in their roles.
- Report on Manufacturing activities on a regular basis to the Senior Management team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant Key Performance Indicators.
- Review the use of technological systems that support a more environmentally friendly approach.

Qualifications:
- BE/ BTech - Chemical / Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering.
