Computronics Systems - L3 Network Security Engineer - WLAN (5-8 yrs)

Job Description :

Responsibilities :

- Architect, design, and implement secure network solutions for LAN, WAN, campus, core, and branch networks.

- Lead security infrastructure projects from inception to completion, including requirements gathering, planning, design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.

- Manage and maintain enterprise firewall infrastructure (ePA, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Fortinet).

- Implement and maintain robust Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.

- Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive network security policies, standards, and procedures.

- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.

- Plan and execute network upgrades and equipment replacements.

- Manage, troubleshoot, and optimize SD-WAN infrastructure.

- Handle critical network escalations and provide expert technical leadership to resolve complex issues.

- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), implementation plans, and network architecture diagrams.

- Review and execute major network changes, ensuring minimal disruption.

- Troubleshoot and resolve critical network incidents effectively and efficiently.

- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for troubleshooting, problem resolution, and network maintenance.

- Coordinate with OEM vendors (Cisco, Juniper) for advanced technical support and resolution of complex issues.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers (L1 & L2).

- Handle escalated cases from junior teams.

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (IT Operations, Security Operations, Application Development).

- Lead Proof-of-Concept (POC) evaluations of new network technologies and solutions.

Qualifications :

Experience : Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in managing complex network infrastructure (WAN, LAN).

Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred).

Certifications :

At least one of the following :

- CCNP/JNCIP, SD-WAN certification or equivalent.

- Product certifications in PA/Checkpoint/Cisco ASA/Fortinet.

- Cisco ISE certification (CCNP Security or equivalent) highly preferred.

Technical Skills :

- Expert knowledge of Cisco ISE, SD-WAN, Cisco & Juniper core routers and switches, Cisco ACI.

- Proficiency in traditional routing and switching protocols.

- In-depth knowledge of firewalls (PA, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Fortinet), Network Access Control (NAC) infrastructure, and identity management systems (Azure AD, on-premises AD).

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex network issues.

- Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and delivery of network security projects.

- Superior verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 environment and handle critical incidents effectively.
