Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Skills Manager to lead our field-based awareness, mobilizations, orientation and training programs in the Meghalaya region. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, proven knowledge of skill development and project management and the ability to work effectively in a team. This role requires establishing and maintaining relationships with government stakeholders, local organizations, and community leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordination, and execute awareness programs, mobilization, orientation, and training sessions for various trades and skills.
- Conduct field visits to assess training needs, promote programs and build relations with stakeholders.
- Develop and manage training schedules, curriculum and materials and also arrangement of assessment required for training programs.
- Delegate tasks and supervise team members to ensure efficient program delivery.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, producing reports and presentations.
- Design and deliver Training-of-Trainers(ToT) programs for trainers and subordinates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify skills gaps and develop targeted interventions.
- Ensure compliance with organization policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Establish and maintain relationships with government officials, local organizations and community leaders.
- Represent the organization professionally in meetings, conferences and public forums.
- Ensure adherence to branding protocols and guidelines across all program materials, events and communications
- Maintain consistency in visual identity, tone and messaging.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in skill development, training management or related field.
- Strong project management & organization skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a team, lead and motivate others.
- Field based experience with willingness to travel extensively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS office and reporting tools.
- Established network and contacts in the Meghalaya region and relationship building.
- Fluency in local languages
- Time management skill
