Cohesity - Senior Manager - Cloud Infrastructure (10-15 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Engineering who can combine strong leadership abilities with technical expertise in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, and GCP.

This role requires hands-on technical involvement in cloud architecture, design, and implementation while managing and growing a talented engineering team.

As a technical manager, you'll balance in-depth technical discussions with providing vision and strategic direction to your team, ensuring the smooth delivery of critical cloud projects.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead, inspire, and manage a team of world-class developers, driving the design and development of innovative products for both on-premises and SaaS offerings.

- Own the product lifecycle end-to-end, from gathering requirements to building, testing, and deploying solutions.

- Drive thought leadership and foster innovation to accelerate high-quality software development.

- Mentor and grow your engineering team, ensuring their development and alignment with company goals.

- Set clear goals for the team and drive collaborative achievements.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as product management, program management, sales, QA, and support to deliver high-quality products and ensure alignment with the product vision and roadmap.

- Stay informed on market dynamics to influence product direction and execution.

Key Qualifications :

- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.

- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in planning, architecting, and delivering high-quality products.

- 5+ years of experience in building and managing high-performance software development teams.

- Strong knowledge of agile/scrum methodologies.

- Previous experience building highly scalable distributed systems.

- Exceptional coding and design skills.

- Expertise in relevant domains such as Distributed Systems, Platforms, Storage, Data -Management, Data pipelines/ETL, AI/ML, SaaS.

- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to balance technical depth with strategic management
