Senior Devops Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a strong Senior DevOps professional who will oversee code releases, infrastructure changes, and production deployments. You will also monitor and maintain the software and systems used in a company to ensure efficient and reliable performance.

Responsibilities

• Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
• Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes’
• Working with software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
• Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions
• Deploy updates and fixes and Provide Level 2 technical support
• Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
• Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors and investigate and resolve technical issues
• Develop scripts to automate visualization
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

Skills and Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer
• AWS Certification is must
• Proficient with git and git workflows
• Good knowledge of Shell scripting, Python or Kotlin/Java
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools, Jenkins, AWS CDK, IAC and Kubernetes
• Expertise working with at least one cloud service provider like AWS/GCP or Azure.
• Familiarity with application monitoring with New Relic/ Datadog, cost optimization of infrastructure
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL
