Primary Skills - DB2 LUW DBA

Responsibilities
1. Installed various versions of DB2 fix packs on LUW Environments.
2. Experience with DB2 UDB 9.7 10.1 10.5 11.1 Installations Configurations Administration and Migration of the databases in AIX and Linux environments.
3. DB2 Instance creation and Configuration of DBM parameters.
4. Performance Tuning both Database Tuning and Query Tuning in v8 v9.5 v9.7 v10.1 v10.5 fp 7 v11.1 and V11.5 versions.
5. Resource management and contingency planning.
6. Design of database architecture consulting with all stake holders and providing solutions
7. Tech migration database upgrades client upgrades
8. Designing 4 way HADR and TSA set up.
9. Implemented encrypted databases with LDAP and native auditing
10. Performance tuning and interacting with IBM via PMRs.
11. DR testing and implementing newer DR strategies
12. Having knowledge of Backup and Recovery
13. Redirect Restorers for cross platform database availability.
14. Worked on Setting up HADR in LUW platforms.
15. Worked extensively on various scheduling tools like Crontab patrol and CA workload etc.
16. Knowledge on Performance tuning experience including SQL DB and DBM reading explain plans.
17. Table space management Adding dropping extending reducing and resizing table space containers.
18. DB2 Database Objects creation Grant and Revoke privileges to Users and Groups.
19. Knowledge and experience in various data movement utilities like DB2MOVE EXPORT IMPORT LOAD and Ingest.
20. Proficient in using Db2look for various activities in Database Table creation etc.
21. Taking schedule time backups like Offline Online Incremental and Delta backups
22. Hands on experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing DB2 UDB issues in Development Test Production environments by analyzing db2diag.log notification log.
23. Using of Snapshot monitors DB2top DB2pd and Administrative views for trouble shooting and monitoring.
24. Experience in installation of db2 client and other db2 related products.
25. Recovering the Database to a consistent state through Restore Roll-forward techniques and also performing Redirected restore in case of movement of tablespace containers.

Certifications Required
IBM certifications a plus
