Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Infra. Architect with 12 to 14 years of experience in PostgreSQL DB Administration MySQL and Oracle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management and architecture with a preference for experience in the Property Casualty Insurance domain. This hybrid role requires working during the day shift with no travel required.

Responsibilities

Design and implement robust database architectures to support business applications and ensure high availability and performance.

Oversee the administration of PostgreSQL MySQL and Oracle databases ensuring optimal performance and security.

Provide technical expertise in database design development and maintenance ensuring data integrity and reliability.

Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries and improve application performance.

Develop and enforce database standards guidelines and best practices to ensure consistency and quality.

Monitor database performance identify issues and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.

Conduct regular database backups recovery tests and disaster recovery planning to safeguard data.

Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and comply with industry regulations.

Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and tools to improve system performance and scalability.

Provide support and troubleshooting for database-related issues ensuring timely resolution.

Document database configurations procedures and policies for future reference and compliance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and projects.

Mentor and guide junior database administrators sharing knowledge and best practices.

Qualifications

Possess strong experience in PostgreSQL DB Administration MySQL and Oracle.

Demonstrate expertise in database design development and maintenance.

Have a solid understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.

Show proficiency in implementing database security measures and ensuring data integrity.

Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.

Have experience in developing and enforcing database standards and best practices.

Preferably have domain experience in Property Casualty Insurance.

Display excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Be capable of working in a hybrid work model with a day shift schedule.

Demonstrate the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.

Show a proactive approach to evaluating and recommending new database technologies.

Have a strong commitment to ensuring high availability and performance of database systems.

Possess a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.
