Agile Coach

Job Title: Contractual Senior Agile Coach (3-Month Engagement)
Location: Hyderabad, India (Office-based)
Contract Duration: 3 Months

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Agile Coach for a 3-month contractual engagement within our organization. The Agile Coach will be responsible for leading training and coaching sessions across various cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering, Data Science, Quality Assurance (QA), and DevOps. The goal is to optimize our Agile practices, foster collaboration, and improve workflows across these teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Agile Frameworks & Methodologies:
• Deliver in-depth training on Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
• Guide teams in selecting and tailoring the right Agile approach based on their specific needs.
• Provide expertise in scaling Agile using frameworks like SAFe, LeSS, or Spotify, as appropriate to the organizations size and structure.

• Best Practices in Agile Execution:
• Conduct comprehensive training on Sprint Planning, including backlog item definition, prioritization, and refinement.
• Coach teams on backlog refinement (grooming) and aligning efforts with business goals.
• Introduce key Agile metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, and cumulative flow diagrams to optimize team performance.

• Agile Ceremonies & Practices:
• Provide coaching on running Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives, focusing on improving communication and transparency.
• Facilitate Sprint Planning sessions to ensure team alignment on deliverables and priorities.
• Introduce Kanban boards and other visual management tools to track work and improve flow.

• Promoting Agile Culture & Mindset:
• Cultivate an Agile mindset focused on collaboration, continuous learning, and adaptability.
• Address common challenges teams face during Agile adoption, such as resistance to change and balancing Agile principles with organizational constraints.
• Foster a culture where feedback loops are integral to product development, enabling teams to pivot quickly based on insights.

• Cross-functional Collaboration & Effective Communication:
• Strengthen cross-functional collaboration between teams like Product, Engineering, Data Science, QA, and DevOps.
• Coach teams on managing dependencies across functions and aligning around shared goals, timelines, and product vision.
• Promote joint planning sessions to break down silos and ensure teams are working cohesively toward business objectives.

• Integration of DevOps and Agile:
• Provide guidance on integrating DevOps principles with Agile workflows, optimizing product delivery speed and quality through better coordination between development and operations teams.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Agile Coach with a strong track record in coaching and training cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Data Science, QA, DevOps).
• Expertise in scaling Agile practices across multiple teams and departments using frameworks like SAFe, LeSS, or Spotify.
• Ability to adapt training sessions to different levels of expertise and tailor methodologies to suit the unique needs of each team.
• Demonstrated experience in promoting an Agile culture and mindset across organizations.
• Solid understanding of Agile metrics, tools, and ceremonies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean).
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

• Location: The role will be office-based in Hyderabad, India.
