Transcription Specialist

Role & responsibilities

• Audio/Video Transcription: Listen to audio recordings, videos, or live conversations and transcribe spoken words into written format.
• Editing and Proofreading: Ensure the final document is free from grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, and formatting issues.
• Formatting Documents: Follow specific style guides or formatting requirements provided by the client or organization.
• Research: Look up unfamiliar terms, names, or technical jargon to ensure accuracy in the transcription.
• Time-Stamping (if required): Add time codes to the transcript for specific sections or points in the recording.
• Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive or proprietary information contained in recordings.
• Quality Assurance: Review transcripts for accuracy and completeness before submission.

Preferred candidate profile

• Excellent listening and comprehension skills.
• Fast and accurate typing (minimum speed of 50 words per minute preferred).
• Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
• Familiarity with transcription tools and software (e.g., Express Scribe, Otter.ai).
• Ability to understand various accents and dialects.
• Previous experience 2 to 4 years in transcription (preferred).
• Specialized transcription experience (e.g., medical, legal, or business) is a plus.
• Remote or In-Office: Work from office and 5 days working.
• Flexible Hours: Comfortable for both the shifts. (Night preferred)
