Sql Developer

Strong foundation in database development, SQL programming, and a working knowledge of modern data platforms. Preferably, the candidate should also have experience with Snowflake and query optimization. The ideal candidate will work in an agile environment, demonstrating adaptability, technical expertise, and an understanding of data-centric business requirements.

Job Description:

• Develop and maintain SQL code based on business and functional requirements following Agile practices.
• Optimize complex SQL queries for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into efficient database solutions.
• Design, build, and maintain Snowflake data pipelines and structures.
• Implement data transformations, aggregations, and workflows to meet analytics and reporting needs.
• Analyze and resolve issues found during testing or production; coordinate changes with project team leaders.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members regarding SQL, and Snowflake implementations.
• Suggest and implement process improvements for database development, testing, and deployment workflows.

Other Details:

• Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in database development and programming.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with data governance and security concepts.
  • Certifications in SQL Server or Snowflake & similar data platforms.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Strong proficiency in SQL development.
  • Knowledge of relational database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
  • Preferable experience with Snowflake Data Cloud and its ecosystem.
  • Expertise in query optimization and database performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with ETL concepts.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to address data and performance issues.
• Additional Skills:
  • Knowledge of cloud data solutions, particularly in Snowflake.
  • Experience with database schema design, including creating tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures.
  • Understanding of version control systems like Git and DevOps practices.
