Head - Performance Management - Gurugram - MNC Consulting Firm

Job Summary:

- The Performance Management Head will spearhead the development, implementation, and management of performance evaluation and improvement processes, fostering a culture of ongoing performance conversations across the firm.

- This role emphasizes personalizing goals and experiences for each employee, aiming to drive individual performance improvement over time.

- By collaborating closely with department heads, HR teams, and employees, the Performance Management Head will ensure a consistent, fair, and effective performance management strategy that aligns with firm's goals and supports employee development.

- Additionally, the role involves driving clarity and engagement through targeted communication programs, reinforcing the spirit of the performance management approach throughout the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

Performance Evaluation Process:

- Design, implement, and monitor performance management programs, including annual performance reviews, goal setting, and ongoing performance feedback.

- Facilitate bi-annual, and annual performance review cycles and provide guidance to managers and employees on effective performance practices.

- Work with HR and leadership teams to establish standardized metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks for performance assessment.

Employee Development & Engagement:

- Develop individual development plans and growth programs tailored to various roles and levels within the firm.

- Coach managers on performance improvement strategies, feedback techniques, and conflict resolution.

- Partner with Learning & Development to deliver training and development initiatives aimed at enhancing employee skills and competencies.

Continuous Improvement & Policy Development:

- Analyze performance management outcomes to identify gaps and areas of improvement within the current process.

- Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to update performance management policies and processes as needed.

- Drive performance-related projects, ensuring alignment with firm's goals and employee expectations.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

- Conduct regular analysis of performance data, preparing reports for HR and leadership to help inform decision-making.

- Maintain records of performance evaluations, action plans, and other relevant data, ensuring compliance with firm's policies and regulations.

- Identify trends in performance metrics and provide insights for proactive workforce planning.

Culture & Change Management:

- Promote a culture of continuous feedback and improvement within the firm.

- Act as a change agent to support firm's growth, helping employees adapt to evolving performance management practices.

- Drive initiatives to improve employee engagement, motivation, and overall performance.

Qualifications:

Required:

- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

- 10+ years of experience in performance management, talent development, or a similar HR role.

Skills and Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of performance evaluation frameworks, goal-setting methodologies, and employee development processes.

- Proven ability to manage large-scale performance management initiatives and drive organizational change.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in coaching and influencing senior leaders.

- Proficient in HR software and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, HRIS systems, etc.).

Preferred Skills

- Certifications in HR or performance management (e.g., SHRM, HRCI, CIPD).

- Experience in developing and implementing competency-based performance management frameworks.

- Familiarity with best practices in employee engagement and retention strategies.
