Job Description : SQL Server on Cloud Specialist

Role : SQL Server on Cloud Specialist

Experience Required :

Total Experience : >10 years

Relevant Experience : 4 to 6 years

Location :

Work Mode : As per current Wipro policy (Office/Hybrid)

Office Locations (if WFO/Hybrid) :

KDC (preferable), Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai

Compensation : Up to 190K (Max Client WO Rate)

Shift : Regular shift

Primary Skills : SQL Server on Cloud with encryption/decryption experience.

Good to Have Skills :

- AWS Cloud Data Platform Engineering

- Performance Engineering on Cloud

Key Responsibilities :

Data Encryption/Decryption :

- Implement and manage data encryption/decryption strategies.

- Ensure data security compliance for sensitive information.

- Analyze the pros and cons of encryption/decryption methods, providing recommendations for optimization.

Cloud Database Migration :

- Execute migrations of SQL Server databases from on-premises to AWS Cloud.

- Assess and mitigate potential performance impacts during and after migration.

- Ensure the integrity and seamless functionality of migrated databases.

Performance and Operational Analysis :

- Analyze the performance impact of encryption/decryption on databases.

- Address and resolve operational issues arising during or post-migration.

- Conduct performance tuning and optimize database operations on Cloud platforms.

Security and Compliance :

- Ensure data security for production databases accessed via public networks and intranet.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for secure and efficient database management.

Collaboration and Documentation :

- Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.

- Document technical configurations, processes, and performance evaluations comprehensively.

Requirements :

- Hands-on experience with SQL Server on-premise and Cloud environments (AWS).

- Proficiency in data encryption/decryption technologies and their impact on performance.

- Strong expertise in DB server migration from on-premises to Cloud.

- Experience with large-scale production databases accessed via public and private networks.

- Knowledge of AWS Cloud Data Platform Engineering and Performance Engineering is a plus.
