Senior Database/Data Automation Engineer (10-15 yrs)

Skills Required

- 9+ Years of experience with proven 6+ years' relevant experience in Database and Data Architecture, Administration and Automation.

- Distributed Database DevOps (Database as code), Data DevOps, Data Security and Database Administration experience strongly preferred.

- Must have Strong Knowledge in Data Modelling (Conceptual, Logical & Physical) and ER diagrams for Relational, Dimensional and NoSQL (document) databases using tools like DBSchema, DBeaver, Navicat etc

- Must have Hands-on-experience in Database Administration and Management techniques like performance tuning, caching, DB analysis, data quality, data Security, audit & design (for Postgres, MySQL/ Mariadb, Microsoft SQL server, MongoDB, Redis etc)

- Good Hands-on-experience in working with developers and deploying Database Solutions using tools like Liquibase, Flyway, Sqitch, Prisma, Bytebase etc.

- Good Hands-on-experience in working with developers and deploying through Data DevOps pipeline using On-Prem or Cloud services (Azure/ AWS/ GCP)

- Strong understanding on structured or semi-structured relational data sets in OLTP Relational/ NoSql Databases using ETL techniques and storing in OLAP data warehouses and used by Data Analyst through BI Analytics/ Visualization tools.

- Comfortable working with Python, PowerShell, Linux and understanding of Open-source stack like Hadoop Bigdata, Pyspark, Spark, Scala, Hive etc.

- Strong communication skills

- An analytical mind with problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities :

As well as possessing the required technical skills, you will be a confident individual capable of working in a busy development environment with a focus on creating secured Database and Data pipelines, to support IT Products and Data Analyst teams using on-prem or cloud infrastructure.

- Responsible for Management & Administration of Relational, Dimensional (Data Warehouse), NoSQL solutions.

- Responsible for Database Modelling and developing Distributed Database Automation solutions.

- Responsible creating and managing Data DevOps Pipelines for Data Engineering teams using on-prem or Cloud Services (Azure, AWS, GCP).

- Working closely with developers in Architecting, Designing and Developing Relational, Dimensional and NoSql database solutions.

- Work closely with the Product Owners and Data Engineering teams to develop Data Pipelines/ Platforms.

- Work with the leadership to set the standards for software engineering practices within the team and support across other disciplines.

- Work with DevSecOps team to create secure databases, CI/CD process and data pipeline infrastructure.

- Ensure all release processes, policies and procedures are properly communicated and documented.

- Able to meet tight deadlines, and handle and prioritize simultaneous requests.
