Job Title : Configuration Management Specialist

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Configuration Management Specialist to manage and maintain our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and associated processes. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Configuration Management principles, Service Mapping, Discovery, and ServiceNow CSDM, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of CI data while driving continuous improvement in IT Configuration Management practices.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage Configuration Item (CI) types, attributes, and relationships in the CMDB.

- Ensure compliance with CMDB processes and procedures for creating and maintaining CI data.

- Collaborate with the Configuration Manager to conduct audits and generate reports to verify process adherence and data accuracy.

- Drive the execution and continuous improvement of IT Configuration Management frameworks, including governance, control standards, and communication strategies.

- Partner with CI Data Owners and stakeholders to maintain high-quality CMDB data and ensure all CIs are up to date.

- Govern non-discoverable CI attributes to ensure proper maintenance and accuracy.

- Monitor CI data health through reports and dashboards and resolve data quality issues in collaboration with CI Data Owners.

- Support the design, development, and implementation of process and CMDB enhancements.

- Provide change management support, including generating CAB agendas, forward schedules, and KPI/metrics reports.

- Coordinate with change owners to ensure adherence to the change management process.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications :

- Proficiency in Configuration Management, CMDB, and Asset Management (e.g., BMC, ServiceNow).

- ITIL V3 Foundation certified.

- Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodology.

- Experience with governance and control standards in IT Configuration Management.

- Familiarity with Application Portfolio Management (APM) is a plus.

Preferred Experience :

- Hands-on experience in CMDB maintenance and governance.

- Solid understanding of Service Mapping and Discovery processes.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.
