Enterprise Architect - IT Infrastructure (10-14 yrs)

Overview :

This role involves providing leadership, analysis, and design expertise to support the development of technology solutions, processes, and integrations. The goal is to ensure that IT systems align with business needs and architectural governance and standards. The role spans across various aspects of architecture, including Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Information Architecture, and Integration Architecture.

Key Responsibilities :

Business and Technical Alignment :

- Understand business needs and suggest solutions.

- Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint.

- Document all architecture design and analysis work.

Infrastructure Investment :

- Develop and document plans for investing in application infrastructure.

- Analyze cost reduction opportunities.

Deliverables and Impact Assessment :

- Provide deliverables such as standard definitions, reference models, and architecture designs.

- Assist management in assessing the impact of technology investments.

Consultancy and Implementation :

- Act as a consultant on a broad range of technologies.

- Lead the evaluation, design, and analysis for implementing solutions and/or integration architecture.

Architectural Design :

- Create architectural designs for applications, technologies, processes, and information.

- Develop reference architectures with detailed design principles, decision points, and dependencies.

Analysis and Recommendations :

- Analyze the business-IT environment to detect deficiencies and risks.

- Recommend solutions for improvement.

Governance and Compliance :

- Participate in governance activities to ensure architecture assurance and compliance.

- Define principles, guidelines, and standards to align solutions with the enterprise's future-state architecture.

Software and System Management :

- Facilitate the evaluation and selection of software product standards and services.

- Support system managers in end-of-life system decisions.

- Develop a roadmap for the evolution of the enterprise application portfolio.

Project and Product Lifecycle Support :

- Work with the PMO and product teams to ensure alignment with architectural plans.

- Consult with projects to fit systems or infrastructure to architecture.

Collaboration and Documentation :

- Collaborate with the EA team to develop and maintain roadmaps, standards, models, and reference architectures.

- Manage technology stack and recommend system upgrades.

Expert Advice and Standards Adherence :

- Provide expert advice on integration technology, data architecture, and system architecture.

- Ensure standards adherence through reviews of project work.

Integration Strategy and Partnership :

- Define requirements for integration strategies.

- Partner with leaders of other disciplines to ensure solution alignment with enterprise architectures.

Requirements :

Experience :

- Demonstrable experience with on-premises, cloud, and mobile application architecture.

- Strong understanding of the relationship between technology and business.

- Broad and in-depth knowledge of complex technologies, tools, and methodologies.

- Experience in the system development life cycle, requirements creation, design documents, and test scripts.

- At least 10 years in a relevant/regulated industry and 8 years in IT Enterprise Architecture or a related role.

- At least 5 years as an Enterprise Architect.

Skills :

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Strong interpersonal, judgment, and time management skills.

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Knowledge of GMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and Annex 11 (nice to have).

- Knowledge of IT Apps/Infrastructure in CMDB & CMDB Governance.

- Familiarity with ServiceNow APM and LeanIX EAM tools.

- Knowledge of data modeling and application integration design concepts and tools.

Education :

- BS/BA in Information Technology or related field.

- Master's degree is a plus.
