Project context :

The Senior Salesforce Release Manager will be working on Salesforce projects and maintenance activities, working with the release management team, developers, admins and other Senior professionals on IT.

Capacity to keep an agile mindset to deliver business requests while keeping a strong sense of quality on every release, it's key to succeed in this position.

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Salesforce Release Manager with a strong background in Copado to perform and execute Salesforce release activities (such as deployments) efficiently and accurately. In this role, you will be directly responsible for the technical execution of release management activities, managing deployments between Salesforce environments, as well as org strategy, refresh strategy and other CI/CD points.

This position requires a detail-oriented individual with expertise in CI/CD processes, focused entirely on release activities (such as deployments) and tools/processes improvement without leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Hands-On Deployment Execution :

- Execute end-to-end deployments of Salesforce packages across environments, ensuring seamless and error-free transitions.

- Use Copado to perform deployments, track deployment status, and troubleshoot any issues during transitions.

- Validate deployments by conducting pre- and post-deployment checks to confirm successful package migrations.

2. Copado & CI/CD Process Management :

- Operate and maintain CI/CD pipelines within Copado, handling version control, branching, and deployments with precision.

- Troubleshoot deployment conflicts and resolve issues efficiently, ensuring smooth package delivery.

- Troubleshoot Deployment issues, as well as support Devs/Admins in the resolution of CICD blockers

- Be proactive to suggest and as well support on improvements for the processes within the DevOps lifecycle, such as for improving the Copado activities, overall ensuring predictable and smooth releases.

3. Environment Maintenance :

- Maintain and monitor consistency across Salesforce environments, handling environment refreshes, data seeding, configuration updates, and metadata synchronization as needed.

- Propose improvements to the Org Strategy landscape.

- Ensure that environment settings are aligned to minimize configuration drift and support accurate deployments.

4. Quality Assurance & Compliance :

- Execute quality checks during deployments to ensure code quality, data integrity, and adherence to compliance standards.

- Follow best practices for data security and regulatory compliance, safeguarding the Salesforce environments throughout the deployment process.

5. Documentation & Communication :

- Document deployment processes, including any issues and resolutions, to maintain a reliable deployment record.

- Communicate deployment progress and any technical issues to relevant team members, keeping them updated on deployment status.

Requirements :

Education & Experience :

- 5+ years of experience in deployment activities and 3+ years within a Salesforce environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Experience using Copado.

Technical Skills :

- Proficient in Salesforce deployment processes and Copado, with a solid understanding of CI/CD tools and practices.

- Experience with version control (e.g., Git, Git branching strategies for Salesforce) and Salesforce metadata management.

- Ability to identify and resolve deployment issues quickly and independently.

Soft Skills :

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, focused on accurate and reliable execution of deployment tasks.

- Effective communication skills to provide deployment updates and share insights on deployment status.

- Ability to work collaboratively within a team, following deployment guidelines and best practices.

- Proactive approach towards process and tooling improvement.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform App Builder, Administrator) are a plus.

- Copado Certifications, such as Copado Fundamentals I and/or Copado Fundamentals II. Any others such as Copado Consultant are valued.
