Job Title : Business Analyst - Supply Chain & Logistics
Location : Gurgaon
Position : Full Time
Travel : Candidates with a B1/B2 US visa will be preferred (as travel to the US for work will be required).
Job Overview :
We are looking for a Business Analyst with strong technology, analytical, and communication skills, specifically in the Logistics and Supply Chain Management domain. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in Agile methodologies, as well as a track record of working in environments where business analysis plays a key role in streamlining operations and improving processes. The candidate should also have experience in market analysis, business requirements gathering, and documentation.
Additionally, B1/B2 US visa holders are preferred due to the need for periodic travel to the United States for work-related tasks and project meetings.
Key Responsibilities :
Market and Business Analysis :
- Conduct detailed market analyses to evaluate the profitability and performance of the business.
- Develop, track, and monitor data and quality metrics to ensure business data and reporting needs are being met.
Business Requirements Gathering :
- Gather and analyze business requirements across stakeholders and teams. Document these requirements in Business Requirements Document (BRD), Functional Requirement Document (FRD), and Software Requirement Specification (SRS) formats.
- Perform gap analysis for new functionalities and identify business-specific requirements.
- Prioritize requirements based on business value, aligning them with the project roadmap.
Process Mapping & SDLC :
- Map out and understand the process-specific requirements of the business, and assist in gap analysis to determine areas for improvement or new functionality.
- Work with cross-functional teams through all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with a focus on both Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Testing & Quality Assurance :
- Provide functional support to the testing team during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including the preparation, review, and validation of test cases.
- Work closely with the testing team to ensure that all business requirements are met during the testing phase.
Client Engagement :
- Meet with business representatives from different functions to understand their business processes and gather requirements.
- Facilitate client interviews, workshops, and focus groups to understand the broader business needs and process descriptions.
Reporting & Presentations :
- Create detailed reports based on analysis and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve business operations.
Collaboration with Teams :
- Work closely with other business analysts, project managers, and developers to ensure that the requirements are clearly understood and executed.
- Engage in stakeholder management to ensure alignment between business goals and IT projects.
Skills & Qualifications :
Educational Qualification : A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or an MBA.
Experience :
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field, with at least 2-3 years in the Logistics/Supply Chain Management domain.
- Strong experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Agile framework) and familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Key Skills :
- Expertise in business requirements gathering, process mapping, and creating detailed business documentation (BRD, FRD, SRS).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders and business functions.
- Experience in Supply Chain Management is highly preferred.
- Competency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and reporting.
Additional Skills :
- Ability to work autonomously and manage tasks proactively.
- Experience in presenting findings and creating business reports.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with a track record of following through on commitments.
Preferred Qualifications :
- A B1/B2 US visa will be preferred, as travel to the United States may be required for work-related activities.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics systems, warehouse management, and inventory management systems is a plus.
