DevOps Engineer - Site Reliability (5-12 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

Infrastructure Management :

- Design, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure in AWS using services such as ECS, EC2, EBS, EKS, S3, RDS, ELB, IAM, and Lambda.

- Administer Linux-based systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.

- Handle Kubernetes cluster management and scaling in a production environment.

CI/CD and Automation :

- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Out Systems, ensuring efficient code deployment and rollback capabilities.

- Leverage automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Chef for provisioning, configuration, and deployment tasks.

Production Support :

- Manage production environments, including on-call support, ensuring minimal downtime and prompt incident resolution.

- Monitor system health and performance using advanced monitoring tools to identify and address issues proactively.

Networking and Security :

- Configure and troubleshoot network protocols, including HTTP/HTTPS, SMTP, DNS, and LDAP.

- Secure production systems through best practices in IAM, SSH, and other security measures.

Collaboration and Documentation :

- Work closely with software developers, QA teams, and project managers to integrate DevOps best practices into the development lifecycle.

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture, processes, and procedures.

Required Skills :

Core DevOps Expertise :

- Strong Linux administration and networking knowledge.

- Expertise in AWS services and infrastructure management.

- Proficiency in Docker containers and Kubernetes in production environments.

Automation and CI/CD :

- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.

- Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible and Chef.

- Experience with Out Systems CI/CD pipelines and monitoring.

Production Support & Monitoring :

- 5+ years of handling production support, including on-call responsibilities.

- Expertise in monitoring tools to ensure system reliability and performance.

Additional Skills :

- Experience with HAProxy, Nginx, MySQL configuration, and operations.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with high-availability systems and failover mechanisms.

- Familiarity with SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) principles.

- Proven experience in documenting complex systems and processes.
