The Technology Operations Engineer II monitors all customer facing environments (Production, Certification, New Release, & Disaster Recovery) within the Clearing & Trading business units; escalates in a timely & efficient manner following the guidelines developed within the dept. to the appropriate next level of support to accurately report incidents to management & to document each incident & request handled, whether issue was received by alerting tools or by customer (internal or external).
Principal Accountabilities:
• Establishes bridge lines regularly. Properly and efficiently uses broad notification tools. Utilizes protocol for MindAlign use and other inter-office communication tools regularly to document timeline of events within crisis management.
• Regularly recycles monitoring agents.
• Regularly Utilizes incident management tools.
• Uses monitoring tools to detect errors.
• Utilizes application log locations and early log viewing for errors. Understands escalation protocol per application area. Utilizes ECC protocol for documentation. Uses proper phone etiquette for receiving calls and escalation.
• Utilizes application recovery tools used by TOCC.
• Utlizes department website for process recovery.
• Writes scripts to execute for application recovery. Utilizes escalation and notification escalation per application. Leverages specific application flows and general functionality by application.
Technical skills :
Kindly note : L2 production support experience with good triage skills and flexible to cover shift on all days of week..
1. We need resource with good hands on experience on Linux troubleshooting
2. Database knowledge troubleshooting - Oracle or SQL server
3. Scripting knowledge on Python and Shell.
4. Scheduling tool knowledge - Preferrably UC4 or Control M /Autosys
5. Log monitoring tool knowledge - Splunk/Kibana
6. Any cloud knowledge - GCP /AWS/ Azure
7. Good hands on knowledge of ITIL processes.
8. Above all - Need to have Good communication and collaboration skills.
9. Preferred Domain - Investment Banking or Capital market services
10. Alert management tools - tivoli/truesight/openview
