Cluster Head SCM

The Cluster Head of Supply Chain Management, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the overall supply chain strategy for the group. This includes overseeing procurement, warehousing and distribution, inventory control, and operations. You will provide strategic leadership across all areas of Supply Chain Infrastructure and Operations.

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver a range of professional services in Supply Chain Infrastructure and Operations that protect and advance the business's commercial interests while complying with corporate and statutory requirements.
• Lead, train, and develop a team of supply chain managers who will create and implement end-to-end supply chain strategies, coordinate resources, oversee progress, resolve issues, and ensure effective supply chain support across various programs and initiatives.
• Manage and optimize the Supply Chain Development Hub, ensuring the team operates efficiently and staff reach their full potential.
• Design and manage a transformative approach to Supply Chain Infrastructure and Operations, developing the necessary internal structures and external partnerships to achieve this.
• Uphold high standards of integrity and compliance, contributing to the enhancement of the corporate governance framework.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams to break down departmental barriers and drive transformational projects.
• Play a proactive role in the Supply Chain Management Team, managing allocated staff and resources in line with the organization's vision, policies, governance, and values.
• Address performance issues promptly, taking appropriate corrective actions when needed.
• Ensure best value is achieved through the effective use of Supply Chain Infrastructure processes, tools, and techniques across the organization.
• Work with colleagues and other public sector entities to develop, implement, and maintain effective supply chain strategies that prioritize social, ethical, economic, and environmental considerations.
• Oversee all functions involved in purchasing, planning, warehousing, and material control, from forecasting replenishment needs to delivering finished products into inventory and to customers.
• Manage inventory and implement controls to ensure optimal performance based on key metrics while minimizing supply chain risks.
• Lead and coach the team in maintaining excellence in cGMP, quality control, and safety standards.
• Drive negotiations for major contracts.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets effectively.

Education & Experience:

• Masters/MBA in logistics, procurement, supply chain management, business management, or a related field.
• Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred.
• 15 to 20 years of progressive experience in purchasing and materials management, including 5 to 10 years in direct management roles within a medical device or regulated environment.
