Job Overview:
PETROLEUM is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technology Specialist/Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to the continued success of PETROLEUMs digital transformation and technology innovation. The ideal candidate will play a key role in leveraging emerging technologies to drive business solutions, improve efficiency, and support PETROLEUM’s core operations in the energy and petroleum sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Technology Implementation: Lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge technology solutions to support PETROLEUM’s operational requirements and strategic goals.
System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of IT systems with existing processes and infrastructure.
Innovation and Research: Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation within PETROLEUM.
Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support for the maintenance and optimization of PETROLEUM’s technology solutions, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum performance.
Data Management: Handle complex data management tasks, including data integration, data governance, and leveraging big data analytics for improved decision-making.
Cybersecurity: Ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices to safeguard PETROLEUM’s digital assets, data, and infrastructure.
Project Management: Work closely with project teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of technology projects, adhering to budget and quality standards.
Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate technical requirements and solutions to non-technical stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all technology-related processes, systems, and solutions.
Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
Experience: Minimum of [12] years of relevant experience in technology, IT, or engineering roles, preferably in the energy, oil, or gas sectors.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in [insert relevant technologies, such as cloud computing, software development, automation, IoT, AI, data analytics, etc.].

Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).

Proficient in programming languages like Java, Python, C++, or others.

Experience with ERP systems, databases (SQL, NoSQL), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify issues and develop effective solutions.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders across departments and levels.
Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Desirable Qualities:
Knowledge of the petroleum and energy industry.
Experience in digital transformation projects or similar technological advancements in large organizations.
Certification in relevant technologies, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, PMP, or ITIL, is a plus.
