Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead BusinessObjects (BO) Developer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-level reporting and analytics solutions using SAP BusinessObjects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in BO Universe design, Web Intelligence, and SQL, along with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of SAP BusinessObjects (BO) reports and dashboards.
• Develop and maintain BO Universes using IDT/UDT to support business reporting needs.
• Write complex SQL queries and optimize them for performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and provide best-fit BO solutions.
• Manage the deployment and maintenance of BO reports, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Implement security, row-level access, and governance policies for BO reports and Universes.
• Troubleshoot issues related to data inconsistencies, performance, and report rendering.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Work closely with data engineering and BI teams to ensure seamless data integration
  

Requirement

• 7+ years of experience in SAP BusinessObjects development and reporting.
• Strong expertise in BO Universe Design (IDT/UDT), Web Intelligence (WebI), and Crystal Reports.
• Proficiency in SQL (query optimization, stored procedures, and database tuning).
• Experience with BO Administration, including server configuration, security setup, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting performance issues and fine-tuning reports.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with business users and technical teams.
• Experience in leading teams and mentoring junior developers.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Exposure to SAP HANA, SAP BW, or other BI tools.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with cloud-based BI solutions and modern data platforms.
