Job Description
- Troubleshoot to identify root causes and work towards faster workarounds and resolution of reported issues.
- Quickly effectively utilize existing tools and utilities to improve troubleshooting process in the long run.
- Ensure the stability and availability of Application operation components running on Public Clouds.
- Participate in a 24x5 rotational shift and weekend on-call to support production environments.
- Control infrastructure costs by continually looking for opportunities to right-size servers and services
- Respond to alerts of application instability by identifying the root cause and taking corrective action.
- Dedication and commitment to promote diversity, multiculturalism, and inclusion in all work activities.
- Ability to collaborate in diverse teams to foster productive outcomes.
- Proven ability to quickly and effectively triage multiple issue, prioritize them, and troubleshoot them under pressure.
- Works with the Application Development teams to design platform-as-a-service (PaaS) and software-as-a-service (SaaS) offerings that run on cloud infrastructure.
- Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity.
- Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures.
- Work on the Kanban process to support the team and manage customer requests and issues in a structured and organized manner.
- 8+ years of experience in relevant roles.
- 5 years of experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS and Azure platforms.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible and Ansible Tower, etc.
- Hands-on experience in Linux and Windows server operating systems
- Good Knowledge in Container technologies and administration, such as Docker, ECS, EKS and AKS services, would be added advantage.
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and monitoring tools such as Nagios, Dynatrace and cloud Monitoring tools.
- Participates in a DevOps culture with a focus on cloud automation, such as continuous delivery, monitoring and alerting.
- Knowledge in Agile process and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, etc.
- Knowledge in Bash, Python and PowerShell scripting would be added advantage.
- Knowledge in database administration (PGSQL, MYSQL, Mango, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with keen attention to detail.
- It is good to have Azure Administrator Associate certification.
- It is good to have AWS SYSOPS Administrator certification.
- added advantage of having CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) certification
- Added advantages of having Terraform Associate certification.
